Fridays seem to crawl so slowly,

Like they are never over quick.

So now I’m watching a frozen clock

Go tick-tock, tick-tock, tick…

Summers of my active youth were filled,

With baseball, fireflies and gigging frogs.

Older now,  I get to fire up the grill,

Serving burgers, corn and spicy hot dogs.
