But Left the Marinara
Sammy is getting older,
But she’s still might quick.
Turned my back for a second,
And she snatched my last cheese stick!

Family Recipe
Sam and I were hungry,
With a need to fill our belly,
We left the kitchen fat and happy,
After a bowl of Dad’s spaghetti!

Sneaky Kittens
Sammy climbed up my body,
I thought to boop my nose.
Instead she just used my belly,
To warm her little toes.

Valentine Weekend
My voice is raspy,
My throat’s a little sore,
Going back to bed,
Gonna sleep some more.

Stay on Target
The ice storm is coming, must get to the store,
To buy toilet paper, pickles and bread!
Fought through the crowds to complete my goal,
Bought beef jerky and Pringles instead.

Unthinkably Old School
If there had been an emergency,
I’d have had no warning.
I left to run some errands today,
Without my phone this morning!

Everyone’s a Critic
Sammy doesn’t mind my poems,
Except for one little thing.
Says I make her look really good,
But wishes I just wouldn’t sing.

Sammy’s Toes (Plus, I’m Hungry)
Trying to have a snack,
But Sammy’s gone on full attack.
Want to get my popcorn on,
Sammy’s claws are all drawn.
And the battle’s on,
Burritos, Doritos,
Sammy’s got furry toes.
Tacos and nachos,
Bought at Senor Sanchos.
Pretzels and cheese
Pass the platter please.
What we have to do,
Build a platter, drop some tuna,
And run.
That’s where we have to go,
Away from Sammy’s toes.
Sammy’s slick,
Sneaky is her trick.
