Aw, Poor Kitten
Thanksgiving dinner was served at six,
Sammy moved in with the speed of a cheetah.
Alas, poor kitten, your meal was bird-less.
For we served pepperoni pizza!

Stuff yourself with turkey, max out your credit cards.
Just walk away from me with your holiday jive,
Because the sun is out, the sky is blue,
And I am just thankful to be alive!

Time Flies
Carving the turkey while checking my watch,
The time between holidays is naught but an isthmus.
Quickly, break out the sweaters and light up those lights.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
