Tried it as the second line,
The rhyme got even worse.

Truth is I’m getting older,
Full of aches and stiffness.
Yet I still leap out of bed,

Totally Gator
Stayed up watching Joe Bob Ruins Christmas,
Darcy, Ernie, the whole gang was fine.
It ran until the early AM hours.
So I slept in until nine.

Some folks like to burn candles,
