On the Job
Sammy is on constant watch,
Making birds fly in fearful recoil.
She perches upon the top of my chair,
My fierce, furry, feline gargoyle.

What’s a Man to Do?
My son is sleeping on the couch,
Sammy is napping in my chair.

Makes me want to scream and shout.

Leave me feeling kind of bishy.

Dare to Try
Sammy asked me if I was sure,
But in life there are no guarantees.
Had it, tried it and it was good,
