Those tiny little kitty feet,
Underneath the chair.
Sammy thinks I do not notice,
But I know that she’s there.

Serenely watching the sunrise,
Ice-cold Diet Dr Pepper in my cup.
Sammy rolls over, looks at me and says,
“Man, why are you even up?”

Sammy jumped onto my belly,
Gripping with her sharp, tiny claws.
But what really took my breath away,
Was those ice-cold little paws.

Stomping around in a foot of snow,

So I laid down to stretch it out,

I Found Out
Whomever wrote, “Like kittens in the snow,”
Must have thought it a fantastic bit.
So I took Sammy outside to play,
My wounds prove she did not like it.
