Sammy Electric
If I had the energy of my kitty,
I could power all of New York City.
No electric bills, no tricks, no traps,
Except for the 18 hours when I take my naps.

On the Job
Sammy is on constant watch,
Making birds fly in fearful recoil.
She perches upon the top of my chair,
My fierce, furry, feline gargoyle.

My son is sleeping on the couch,
Sammy is napping in my chair.
Guess I’ll go right back to bed,

Makes me want to scream and shout.

Leave me feeling kind of bishy.
Just stepped into a puddle now,
My feet go “Squishy, squishy!”

She’s furry and she’s cute.
And if you do not like her,

Gaining weight, gaining wrinkles.
But the truth that remains self-evident is,

Life Choices
I wanted to be a cowboy,
Riding the open range.
But alas, I am a scientist,
Though not as flashy as Dr. Strange.
