The Daffodils are Yellow
I love to ponder the daffodils,
And filling coconuts with limes.
But this having to work every single day,
Is interfering with my rhymes!

All By Myself – Almost
The momentous day had finally arrived,
When my son decided to leave the nest.
If you think I’m lonely, don’t worry, I’m not.
Because Sammy always loved me best!

How Odd
The day is fast approaching,
Thought I’d scream and shout.
Instead it seems, I’m slightly sad
That my son is moving out!

Summer in the Southwest
Sitting outside, I feel something burning,
Hot like the launching of a rocket.
Reaching down and feeling around,
The sun heated up the keys in my pocket!

Such language!
The weekend approaches, we must make plans,
A field where we can picnic and frolick.
And maybe, if things might go my way,
Back home, perhaps to gleefully mollock?

Food presentation is not my forte,
It resembles the paintings of Picasso’s.
They may be messy, but sure taste good,
Need a spoon with a plate of my tacos?

Book Me!
When I need a break from this hectic world,
I like sit and read.
Whether in my chair or in the woods,
It’s good, my brain to feed.
