My son came home to visit,
He’s Sammy’s big kahuna.
Since they’re both nocturnal,
She gets some Midnight Tuna.

Everything is getting difficult,
Life will smack you in the hooter.
Tell me why it is so darn hard,
To buy a new computer?

It Is All So Beautiful
I possess no magic,
No special powers.
I am just a man,
Who walks the earth.
An earth which owes me
Nothing.
Food, water and air
Are all given on account.
And when my debt is due,
I will die.
My body returning sustenance
To that earth which,
Granted to me the quickest glimpse,
Of the beauty and wonder
That is the world.

When Sammy wants attention,
She says “Mao” and stares.
But when she does that on my desk,
I lose at solitaire.

Evermore!
Midnight steps go tap, tap, tap
Whilst I enjoyed my long night’s nap.
Feeling some pressure, I opened my eyes,
At Sammy’s nose in my face, well what a surprise!

She was Miffed
Took a little overnight trip,
I was gone for 36 hours,
Upon return, Sammy growled at me,
“Get the tuna, forget the flowers!”

The culinary life is very hard,
Continually getting into scuffles.
Wonder why they get so mad,
